Are they working or not?

On sept. 13th, the book Guide des 4.000 médicaments utiles, inutiles ou dangereux (guide of 4000 medicines useful, un-useful or dangerous) was published in France. In 2003, the vice-president of Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), one of the biggest pharmaceuticals, admitted, that more than 50% of the medicines prescribed – even some of the most expensive ones -  did not work. Astonishing? No, not really. This is what I am telling already more than 20 years. Governments could save up huge amounts of health-costs by not prescribing non-working medicines. France and Spain are huge consumers of medicines and the pharma-industry is very clever in marketing and sales. But ask yourselves; knowing that each person is unique, can it really be possible, to invent a product, working for all? Doubt it. Ordered the book at Amazon.Fr, where it was 3 times cheaper than at Amazon.Es. Good to work on my rusty French…
